Since 2003, the West Bloomfield School district has been forced to cut its
operating budget by $16 Million. Now, due to decisions by our State's Legisla-
ture and leaders, this 2009-2010 school year has a projected $3.8 Million to
be slashed from the operating budget mid-year!
We are in a state-wide public school funding crisis, an "educational tsunami."
We can not sit idly by allowing our state's leaders to bargain away our chil-
dren's education and future.
With your financial support, and the support of the entire West Bloomfield
residential and business community, we can lessen our dependence on state
funding and minimize drastic cuts in staff, programs, and course offerings, as
well as minimize increases in classroom sizes.
