Message From Our Superintendent

The West Bloomfield Board of Education established the West Bloomfield Educational Foundation (WBEF) in 2002 with the goal of providing additional funding for programming and initiatives that benefit our students. Their mission is to maintain high quality education while sparking creativity and innovation across the District.

The WBEF is comprised of parents and community members who are committed to providing the best possible resources to help every student be successful. Since its inception, this all-volunteer board has raised over $1 million dollars, some of which has been awarded in teacher grants for individual classroom projects that directly impact our students. These funds have been essential to our school district. The WBEF has spent over $200,000 to purchase textbooks for our schools. The foundation has also purchased interactive whiteboards, laptop computers, eReaders, iPads, documentation projection systems and many other costly technological tools for students. Additionally, they have funded programs such as First Robotics, Anti-Bullying programs, Athlete Mentoring programs, Farmer for A Day, and Chef for A Day which promote positive mental health, nutrition, fitness, and sustainable agriculture.

Your generosity over the years has made this possible. Please continue to support the WBEF so we can continue to provide our students with the engaging, meaningful, inclusive, rigorous opportunities, and extracurricular programs they deserve.

It is through the dedicated efforts of the WBEF that our school district remains one of the finest in the state and what makes West Bloomfield a wonderful place for students to learn and grow.
