About Us
As an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, WBEF generates and distributes financial and community resources to enrich education beyond standard funding. We focus on sparking innovation, supporting teachers, and building lasting partnerships, all to help students become confident collaborators, effective communicators, thoughtful contributors, and sharp critical thinkers.
In over two decades, WBEF has raised and distributed more than $1 million, with over $500,000 awarded directly through educator grants. We’ve equipped classrooms with interactive technology, supported award-winning robotics teams, launched sustainability projects like solar arrays and literary gardens, and fueled initiatives promoting mental health, diversity, and real-world skills.

State funding alone cannot support every program, resource, or experience that makes education truly exceptional. The West Bloomfield School District Educational Foundation exists to close that gap by turning generosity into opportunity for students across the district.
Powered entirely by committed volunteers, the Foundation works in close partnership with district leaders to elevate learning beyond what public funding can provide.
Every donation, volunteer hour, and event participation directly strengthens classrooms, fuels innovative programs, and expands opportunities for students at every grade level.
